Been doing a lot of speedpainting lately, concentrating more on environments. First image is a photo study, the rest are studies of various movie stills.

Jeire Kleros

This was a commissioned piece, in which I was asked to illustrate a warrior within a Medieval type setting. I was given a lot of freedom for this one, which made this project a great deal of fun. I'm focusing much more on environments now with my latest paintings, so I spent quite some time on them. The detailing was a lot of fun to do in particular, especially for the grass and rocks. I'm very happy with the horse as well, I haven't drawn or painted a horse in years so this was a welcome challenge as well.
